Abruzzo is working on a new challenging project, an international Mountain Bike event. After the success of the international Festival of Triathlon Off-road XTERRA 2013, in the heart of Abruzzo,

Lake Scanno, the next international project is going to be launched : "Mountain Bike Festival." In the form of a mountain bike tour, " MTBIKE ABRUZZO XTREME" consists of individual stages / race sections.

 

Since months the tests are going ahead and at the end, we will see if Abruzzo is able to compete with traditional events in the world such as CAPE Epic in South Africa, the Trans -Rockies in the United States , the many races of crossing the Alps, or that of the Ardennes in South America or with the new EPIC Swiss - all mountain bike races, which take place in full respect of nature, having an international starter field and the benefit extends to all those local service providers .

International events, as a strategic tourism marketing instrument in terms of economic impact in the area that hosts them and at the same time having an international communication platform of its own; constitute the tools for starting the activities of thematic tourism and also the starting point for the development new perspectives for individual service providers on site.

The MTBIKE ABRUZZO XTREME, a planned tour of 4-6 days with individual stages, could be another tool for Abruzzo to confirm their intention to develop mountain tourism internationally. A true scenic gem. The tour is crossing 4 national parks, the green heart of Europe. From the coast , you reach the rolling hills of the outback, riding up to the high peaks within over meters over sealevel, crossing the impressive rocky landscape of the Gran Sasso with peaks reaching up to almost 3000 meters.

 

A tour quite difficult for experienced mountain bikers and with the ambition to become a real competition. It includes overnight accommodation in the structures of the mountain resorts which provide one of the best cuisines in the world.

 

 

(L'Abruzzo si propone una nuova sfida. Dopo il successo dell’internazionale del Festival di Triathlon Off-road XTERRA del 2013, nel cuore dell'Abruzzo, al Lago di Scanno, arriva il prossimo progetto internazionale da lanciare: “Mountain Bike Festival". Sotto forma di un tour in mountain bike, "MTBIKE ABRUZZO XTREME” si compone di singole tappe di gara.

 

I test vengono eseguiti già da mesi e si vedrà, a conclusione, se l’Abruzzo potrà competere con le tradizionali manifestazioni del mondo quali CAPE Epic in Sud Africa, il Trans-Rockies negli Stati Uniti, le numerose gare di attraversamento dell’arco alpino, o quella delle Ardenne in Sud America o con la nuova EPIC Swiss - tutte gare di mountain bike, che si compiono nel pieno rispetto della natura, conoscono un pubblico internazionale ed il beneficio si estende a tutti quei fornitori di servizi locali.
 
Eventi Internazionali, quali strumenti strategici di marketing turistico in termini di impatto economico sul territorio che li ospita ed allo stesso tempo una piattaforma di comunicazione internazionale propria; costituiscono degli strumenti di avviamento per le attività di turismo tematico ed anche il punto di partenza per lo sviluppo di nuove prospettive per i singoli fornitori di servizi in loco.

Il MTBike ABRUZZO XTREME, un tour di 4-6 giorni con tappe singole, potrebbe essere un altro strumento per l’Abruzzo per confermare la volontà di sviluppare il turismo montano internazionale. Un vero gioiello paesaggistico. Il percorso si snoda attraverso 4 parchi nazionali, nel cuore verde d'Europa. Dalla costa si raggiungono le dolci colline dell'entroterra, per poi spingersi fino alle alte vette dell’Appennino a 2000 metri di altezza, si attraversa l'imponente scenario roccioso del Gran Sasso con punte che raggiungono quasi 3000 metri.

 Un tour abbastanza arduo per mountain bikers esperti e con l’ambizione di diventare una vera competizione. Si prevede il pernottamento nelle strutture delle località montane che assicurano: “L' Abruzzo vi accoglierà con una delle migliori cucine del mondo”. )
